Originally I was looking over this thread : https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-how-to-create-a-custom-shortcode/
I have created my short code in my function.php using the child theme and it works great and I can add it to any page. I want to be able to have my short codes in a drop down in the TinyMCE text editor like the enfold short code options. Is this done easily?
Hey fpalcic,
Unfortunately it would require quite some time and customization of the theme to achieve this, so I am sorry to tell you that this is not covered by our support. However if it’s really important for you to get this done, you can always hire a freelancer to do the job for you :)
If you need further assistance please let us know.
Best regards,
Victoria
So there is no easy way to copy the function that creates the BUTTON & dropdown and add my own?
So easiest way is to create my on function – I was hoping I could use the function you have already created.
Hi,
You can refer to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/add-new-or-replace-advanced-layout-builder-elements-from-child-theme/ and add new elements to Advanced Layout Builder using your child theme. As Victoria mentioned, unfortunately we cannot help you with such customization as it is out of the scope of our support.
