I recently migrated a site to WP Engine. After migrating, while looking through the site, I noticed that several pages were no longer displaying content. The content is showing in the database and the visual editor, it’s only on the published page where it doesn’t show. These are all pages that are a custom post type, though I’m not sure if this is related to the issue.

    Example: http://texashillcountry.com/places-to-stay/hotels-motels/

    Hi gcmathis!

Did you use a plugin to create this custom post type?

    Best regards,

    Hi Elliott,
It was actually setup by another developer and I’m taking over work on it and working on several improvements, the custom post types among them. The custom post types were created in the child theme’s functions file.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi!

There really wouldn’t be a way for us to know what’s going on then. You’ll want to contact the developer.

If your just trying to create a custom post type then I would check this plugin out, https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-ui/.

    Cheers!
    Elliott

By deleting the masonry on the page, and then reinstalling it the page now displays when published. However, if I add more than one or two post tags to be displayed then the content does not show again. We have a few hundred pages this problem is occurring on. If I select only one post tag that has a number of posts using that tag, they all will be displayed when published, but If I have 3 post tags selected with only one page each the content of the page other than the header and the footer will not display when published. Not even other elements such as sliders or text. It appears the problem is within the Advanced Layer Builder of the theme. Is there some place where the number of tags used can be controlled. The website is http://TexasHillCountry.com . I can provide Admin credentials if you desire.

I got it fixed by reinstalling the Types Plugin
