I have a new website that I’m building for a client and we’re using the Advanced Classifieds and Directory Pro Plugin. We want to use the plugin’s custom login and account management pages, but the login isn’t working. I’ve already contacted the plugin support and they’re saying it’s a theme issue.

Here’s what’s happening: After typing in a valid username and password on the custom plugin login screen (link in private content), the user is redirected to the WordPress login screen without logging the user in or displaying an error message. Logging in on the standard WP login screen takes the user to the WP dashboard rather than the plugin User Management screen.

We have disabled all plugins except the directory plugin so it’s not a conflict with another plugin, which is why the plugin developer thinks it’s a theme issue.

Do you have any suggestions for fixing this issue?

    Thanks!

    Hey jstonestreet,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

Does it work correctly when a default theme is active, or when not using the Enfold theme? Please try to temporarily disable the page preloading, custom 404 and maintenance mode settings in the theme options because these features could trigger a redirect and might be causing the issue.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

I activated the WordPress 2020 theme and I’m still having the same issue. Do I need to completely remove the theme to eliminate all potential conflicts, or is deactivating it enough? Thanks!

    Hi jstonestreet,

If the plugin does not work with the default theme that the issue is in the plugin and not the themes. You need to contact the plugin’s support.

If you need further assistance please let us know.
    Best regards,
    Victoria
