I had a custom font and now the complete site is loading another font after upgrading.
There are no console errors and the font appears in the backend, but the frontend site simply loads with another font.
What to do?
For anyone looking into this, the problem is in the font file names.
1- Delete the font from Enfold.
2- In your computer, download open and rename the font file removing the – in the names.
Change Font-Name.ttf for FontName.ttf
3- Zip the file.
4- Upload to Enfold.
Then it will work.
The question here is: Why a change like that in Enfold?
Hi,
Great, I’m glad that you found a solution, and thanks for sharing it.
We’re not complete sure this problem is occurring yet, but it might be due to the dashes in the file name. We’ll report back once we are sure of the cause.
Best regards,
Rikard
The dashes is the problem.
You can mark this as solved, thank you Rikard.
Hi,
Sorry for the problem.
With oncoming version 4.9 the problem with the dashes is fixed again – so it is safe to use fonts with dashes.
Problem was caused by a fix in 4.8.9.1 that removed the dashes for websafe fonts (which contained the dashes in theme options) – missing that custom fonts still need them.
Best regards,
Günter
