Hi guys,
Love the new option in the theme to adjust a custom 404 page. I created one (https://www.burostaal.nl/oeps/) but it’s not showing when someone hits a non-existing url. You do see the Oeps! in the browser tab, but you don’t see any page.
I use W3TC and added /oeps/ at the page cache as a page to exclude. I cleared the cache from W3TC and from JCH optimize, but it’s still not working. Do you have any hints on how to solve this?
Hey BuroStaal,
Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look?
Best regards,
Victoria
Thank you for responding Victoria! I’ll send you the admin in the private content.
Hi,
Thanks for the info. Is it working properly if Yoast/WP SEO is disabled? The plugin has its own redirection settings so the 404 option may not work properly.
Best regards,
Ismael
Hi Ismael,
I tried it by deactivating Yoast SEO Premium and clearing the cache again, but no change unfortunately :-(
Hi,
Can you check if your hosting provider is creating a custom 404 page?
Best regards,
Basilis
I, I’m having the same issue as BuroStaal. I think it’s related to the last wordpress release, but the custom 404 page doesn’t work to me neither.
Thank you
Hi davideroppo,
Can you please explain a bit more what the issue is?

Hi, I am having the same problem – my custom 404 page won’t show up – title bar is correct, but only header and footer show. If I de-activate Yoast, however, poof, it starts working again. Is there a Yoast Setting I can change that will resolve this?
