On our staging site, there is an option for “CSS Classes (optional)” in the custom link of a menu under Appearance, but on the production site, it is not there. Any idea why? THanks.

Thank you for the inquiry.
You may need to enable the CSS Classes field from the Screen Options > Show advanced menu properties panel. Please check the documentation below.
