Hi,
my provider HostEurope no longer supports PHP 7.4 and since upgrading to PHP 8.1 / 8.0 the typical critical WordPress error showed up. I have now already read through some threads and tried to update the theme via FTP. Unfortunately without success.
I called HostEurope support and they said that there are some customers with Enfold who have the same problem.
Error logfile shows an error in the child theme. What can I do?
Best regards, Sonja
Hey Sonja,
Thank you for the inquiry.
Would you mind posting the errors in the log? Please use pastebin.com and place the link the private field. We will need a login account for the WordPress dashboard as well. Please include the info in the private field.
Best regards,
Ismael
Hi Ismael,
thanks for your reply. I have posted the errors in a guest pin. Login for the WordPress dashboard you will find in the private content.
Best regards,
Sonja
Hi,
Thanks for that. I renamed your child theme, and your site comes back after that. Please review your code in the child theme, on line 51 in functions.php.
Best regards,
Rikard
Hi Rikard,
I can’t log into the WordPress Backend. I always have the same error message.
In the frontend I see the content of the website, but logo, fonts, design, layout – it’s all lost?
Best regards, Sonja
Hi Sonja,
I activated your child theme, commented out the line Rikard mentioned above, updated WordPress and Enfold to the latest versions and that helped.
Please review your website :)
Best regards,
Yigit
Hi Yigit,
perfect.
That I see the frontend but can’t get into the backend, I haven’t had that yet. That was probably the bug in the code…
Thank you very much, your support is great.
Best regards, Sonja
