If I wanted to make custom svg icons for specific pages would I have to convert them into a font icon? and how difficult is it to embed them into the already existing icons?

You can upload them on http://fontello.com/ and then import them to Enfold – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/adding-your-own-icon-fonts/
