I’m trying to create a blog, and the automatic choice of which posts show up on the hosting page is screwed up.
I hope you can help without gaining temporary access to the back end, because the site belongs to the State of Missouri and our cybersecurity team will not grant outside access.
The site is http://www.missouriartscouncil.org. I have two plugins installed relevant to the problem, Web 2.0 Directory and Helpie WP.
I followed Enfold’s directions for starting the blog found here https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/blog-post.
1 – Added a new Page, titled Blog Format Test Page (http://www.missouriartscouncil.org/blog-format-test-page). I added the Blog Posts content element. I set the visibility for Published/Public and published it.
2 – I went to Enfold > Theme Options and chose Blog Format Test Page in “and where do you want to display the blog?”
3 – I created a post to test the Page, titled “Gummi Bears at the Front.” I set its visibility to Private.
4 – While still logged in, I viewed the Page. The Gummi Bears Post did not show up, which did not surprise me since I had set its visibility to Private. However, a lot of other stuff did.
– the three Articles/Posts I have entered via Helpie on the Knowledge Base Draft Page https://www.missouriartscouncil.org/knowledge-base-draft/
– four entries that were put into here https://www.missouriartscouncil.org/touring-performers-directory via Web 2.0 Directory
– two Pages, Blog Format Test Page and the Knowledge Base Draft. These aren’t even Posts – they are Pages.I logged out. I entered http://www.missouriartscouncil.org/blog-format-test-page. I did this twice.
1 – First time, 10 entries from the Touring Performers Directory (Web 2.0 Directory) showed up. Nothing else.
2 – Second time, same as after I first created the hosting page: the three Helpie Articles, the four Touring entries via Web 2.0, and the two PagesI logged back in. I set the Gummis visibility to Public. I entered http://www.missouriartscouncil.org/blog-format-test-page. This time, only the Gummis post showed up on the Page – which is how it should be.
I logged out. Only the Gummis post is showing up.
The browser is Chrome. I have cleared the cache “for the past hour” every time I have made a change.
What is going on? Why did I get all those other Posts on my blog page, and how can I prevent it from happening again?

We cannot really tell why this is happening when you use those plugins. What is the purpose of using them?
Best regards,
VictoriaOctober 15, 2019 at 10:28 pm #1148226Please reread my question. I realize it’s complex!
I am not telling Enfold about a problem that happens when I use those plugins. I am telling Enfold about a problem that happens when I try to create a blog on my website, which is powered by Enfold. The plugins are relevant because somehow when I try to create a blog, content on my website that was posted using the plugins gets yanked into the blog instead of the content I wanted for the blog.Plugins:
– Web 2.0 creates a directory.
– HelpieKB creates a knowledge base..
October 17, 2019 at 10:34 am #1148859Hi,
Thank you for the update.
We can only see one post in the “blog-format-test-page” page now. Did you set this page as posts page in the Settings > Reading panel? If so, please reset those options back to default and make sure that it is only set as blog in the Enfold > Theme Options panel.
Best regards,
Ismael -
