Tagged: excerpt
By default Enfold 1.9.1 just shows full posts or a count of characters as excerpt on blog pages. But, I’d like to use the more tag from the editor to create excerpts.
No way?
Hey,
Yes, it is better to use the <!–more–> tag to specify the excerpt. You can also click “Screen Options” then enable the Excerpt metabox. You can then manually input the excerpt for your posts.

Ismael
Actually Enfold ignores my specified excerpt and set an excerpt after 50 − 54 words.
Hi tglawe,
That should not be the case by default. I use the more tag on my personal site to define everything with more tags so as long as you are adding that into the “Text” tab of your post where you want it then it should be breaking the post at that point.

Devin
Hi Devin,
exactly my way of usage: I post the more tag directly into the regular text field and I don’t use the excerpt field.
Maybe it caused due to the settings of the blog page?
