Tagged: color section, sidebar, smooth scroll
Hello,
I would like to create an anchor link with a smooth scroll in a post.
In this link:
I understand that I need to create a color section and place an id (for example “my_new_anchor”).
Then I can set my click here inside the page and I will automatically have a smooth scroll effect.
However, I have a sidebar in my posts. And in this other link (https://kriesi.at/support/topic/color-section-pushes-sidebar-nav-down/) I understand that color sections are full page and they will push the sidebar down, on the bottom of the page.
So, is there any other solution to ad an anchor point, with smooth scroll, without using color section, that will allow me to maintain my sidebar?
Thanks
Max
Hey Max,
Yes, but you will have to add the id and html markup manually then, you can try something like this for instance:
<div id="my-anchor">
Content
</div>
Where my-anchor is the anchor you want to use. The procedure of adding the link would be the same.
Best regards,
Rikard
Hi Rikard,
Thanks for your reply.
Very good. I did something similar and set the id on an H3 title, it works.
The smooth scroll is by default, I didn’t know that.
Thanks
Max
