As so many others I have the same issue with a newly unrestricted google API. Entered in theme -> Google Services -> API-Key überprüfen and I get above error.
I followed the doc: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key to generate the key.
(re) created an unrestricted google api key – and there’s the error.
login details in private content, any hints how to resolve this are welcome.
one more note: As the api key doesn’t seem to check out it doesn’t stick – so after save changes, go out of google service and back in the api key gets also remove. I places the key that I generated and used into the private content …
Hi sophia_maria,
I tried to login using the credentials you gave however it doesn’t work, please check.
It does return this error when trying to login:
ERROR : Invalid username.
As for the api key I tested it and it doesn’t work, try going to https://console.developers.google.com/ then go to Library and make sure Maps JavaScript API is enabled.
Hope it helps :)
Best regards,
Nikko
Hi Nikko, sorry for the typo of the login credentials, see private content.
Also in Google APIs – Maps JavaScript API – API is enabled,
Please advice,
Thanks
Hi,
Hmm, here are the apis enabled on my end:
If that doesn’t work, try generating a new api key.
Best regards,
Nikko
Hi,
thanks for the hint with the restricted key. Then it works. No URL has to be added.
And don’t be confused. In Enfold 4.4. there is a message, that with the API you can now be connected to the mailchimp newsletter.
It is just an error in the message text. The API is for Google Maps and it works!
