Hi, i have taken a look at my competitor ecommerce website and decide to have a ecommerce website as well. If my website were to look similar to my competitor, would it result in copyright issue? Having the same theme(your theme Enfold) and since its a ecommerce website most section heading/categorization would be similar like featured products, all time favourites. Even the section on purchasing (Customer name, delivery address etc). My competitor website look/layout is about 75% similar to you Enfold shop demo. Would this result in copyright issue?

This link that u provided doesn’t really tell whether am I Infringing my competitor or enfold copyright.
Hi eugene,
When it comes to website templates, even if the source codes appear to be very similar since you are using a website template the chances are your site would most likely be similar.
The only difference is basically colors used, fonts, images and content. I’m not a lawyer but based on my understanding as long as the content is not the same, product images may have similar categories but not exactly the same and if your competitor made some heavy tweaks that’s outside the provided style of enfold, you don’t copy that as well then there should be no copyright issue.

Nikko
So anything from enfold demo can be used? For example the hamburger button when the website is view on mobile device. (Exclude product images from enfold shop demo)
Hi eugene,
Yes, actually you can even use the images in our demo if you have already purchased enfold.
Here’s a thread that talks about it: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/copyright-7/#post-233103
