August 26, 2015 at 10:12 pm #493821hi there A bit of a novice at web editing but have created a copy of my web http://www.staffordrc.org and called it http://www.staffordrc.co.uk I have been using Tools export to transfer info and pages but sadly the .org menu bars layout and drop downs have not transferred over. Can some please tell me where I can copy these setting so that I can transfer them to my back up web or where there might be a video demo Thanks in advance for your help -

 August 26, 2015 at 11:21 pm #493847Hi StaffordRC! I would suggest to use: https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
which does help you to move a hole site, with all settings, design etc.Does that solves your issue? Best regards,
BasilisAugust 28, 2015 at 8:09 am #494663Hi Basilis It looks like it should but sadly when I have tried to run this I get three errors at the scan stage. I fixed the first by changing the settings to Use archive flush and MySQLdump But I still get two errors Total size and large files Tried running a number of times but same messages each time Deleted the cache but did not effect the results So I tick the box to ignore this and try running anyway and get this message Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator at (Email address hidden if logged out) to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. Any ideas what might be causing this and for me to overcome the problem? Thanks Alastair August 28, 2015 at 8:12 am #494665Here is a copy of the scan page

Scan checks are not required to pass, however they could cause issues on some systems.

We usually recommend this plugin to transfer a site: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-migrate-db/ Refer to this link for more info: http://code.tutsplus.com/tutorials/migrating-your-wordpress-database-wp-migrate-db-production-to-development–wp-32684 Cheers!
IsmaelAugust 29, 2015 at 10:07 am #495268Thanks Ismael Ill take a look cheers : ) August 29, 2015 at 11:16 am #495281Looking at this https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-migrate-db/ and the video it would seem to only copy accross the web content rather than the theme layout, menues and sub menues which is what I was looking for. Can you clarify this is the case and if so do you have any other suggested plugins I could try thanks September 1, 2015 at 4:59 pm #496547Hi! It exports the database so all of the theme options will be carried over as well. I use BackupBuddy, http://www.wpbeginner.com/refer/backupbuddy/, because it can save backups / restore them from email and other locations but it’s not free. Any backup plugin should work though, you can also reload backups manually from your cPanel or whatever software the server is using. Regards,
