We are making updates that are not saving. When we add content and update the page the content is not being saved OR is being saved and then subsequently disappears. This happens 100% of the time on certain pages. But not 100% of the time on other pages.
We’re also having a similar problem with the oil&Gas homepage – we’ll make edits and then the next time we look at the site, only minimal edits will be there.
We have attempted to go to the browser revisions bar but its also not tracking the edits.
We are running 3.4.7 and WP 4.2.2
March 9, 2016 at 9:22 pm #595834Hi mattgodson!
can u please ask your hosting provider to increase your php memory limit to 257MB and then let us know if that issue is been resolved?
Regards,
BasilisMarch 15, 2016 at 7:10 am #598200Having the EXACT same problem and only on certain pages. Memory allocation with host is 512MB. Hope you figured it out Matt. It is driving us crazy.

March 15, 2016 at 6:26 pm #598533We changed the settings as recommended and still are experiencing difficulties. Can you suggest anything else? From my team-member…
“Unfortunately the Oil & Gas website is still having issues. I worked on it yesterday after-hours and things seemed to be working fine. I had to step away for a bit so I saved everything and when I logged back on to continue working, probably the second or third change I made, after I hit the “Update” button, it again reverted back to the header image and the rest of my work had disappeared. :’(
Please advise.
Matt

March 15, 2016 at 10:20 pm #598650Matt,
I am not a moderator or anything just someone who is experiencing the same issue. Out of curiosity, who is hosting your website?
March 15, 2016 at 10:21 pm #598651I know – but thanks for weighing in on the thread. I hope they can solve for us. We use Media Temple for hosting. you?
March 15, 2016 at 10:26 pm #598652We have our website hosted with WPengine. I just wanted to rule out a hosting issue as well.
We have been using Enfold for a couple years and have never had anything like this happen before. We just redesigned our website using Enfold and just have a page that is impossible to create because of this problem. I have cleared every cache, every browser, uninstalling the theme and reinstalling the theme, have our host increase the amount of memory to their max (512mb) and nothing seems to work.
There must be some dark bug in the theme.
March 15, 2016 at 10:27 pm #598653I even created a video and sent to them to show the problem. Hope they figure this out soon
March 18, 2016 at 6:06 am #600087Hi @mattgodson,
The loss of information when saving is most likely due to unclosed markup, could you go through the page(s) you are having problems with to check if there are any unclosed tags please? If you can’t find any then please specify on which pages you are having this problem and we’ll have a closer look.
You can also try activating debug mode in order to see shortcodes: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enable-advanced-layout-builder-debug/. You can then try to copy/paste your shortcode to a new page to see if that works better.
Thanks,
RikardMarch 23, 2016 at 5:29 pm #602657I’m sorry but the problem persists – Please see youtube video at https://youtu.be/HrglUodrTns for illustration of the problem. Its nothing to do with tags. Simple text is not saving once edited. We have used enfold for years, in the same manner, but this has never happened before. Please assist.
March 23, 2016 at 5:57 pm #602689Matt,
We fixed our problem. One of the editors had an unclosed HTML tag in the element before.
Our problem looked like this ` <strong>text<strong></strong>
`
The unclosed tag was causing the problem and now we can save without issue. It looks like your text in the banner might be bold or might potentially have the tag on it.Worth a look.

March 23, 2016 at 6:09 pm #602703Oh god. You’re totally right. We see it, edited it and can now save it. We feel so dumb. Lets close this support request now. Thanks
March 26, 2016 at 12:44 pm #603824Hey!
glad you could solve it. Let us know in a new ticket if you have some more questions related to the theme. We are happy to assist you.
Best regards,
