Hi,
I’m getting the above error message when I try to edit an Avia Special Heading content element.
I created a new WP installation and reinstalled Enfold. Though the error did not appear at first, it started to appear within a day. I’m using the latest version of WP and Enfold.
This error does not appear for any of the other content elements, so far.
Can you please advise as to how to resolve this error? Credentials below.
Thank you!
February 29, 2016 at 11:00 pm #591184Hey!
I tried reproducing the issue on a new Page but it seems to be working fine (check link in private section). Does it happen in a specific Page?
Best regards,
JosueFebruary 29, 2016 at 11:19 pm #591213Thank you Josue. I tried it again, and it seems to be working now. Not sure what the issue was. Thank you for looking into the issue.

JosueMay 11, 2016 at 4:53 pm #630832Got the same message while trying to edit content with Avia layout builder. Problem was that Wordfence firewall blocked requests to admin-ajax.php
May 11, 2016 at 7:15 pm #630911@exoveadmin – did you figure out how to resolve this (aside from disabling WF)?
May 11, 2016 at 7:40 pm #630921Putting Wordfence in learning mode solved this for me.
May 12, 2016 at 12:58 am #631044Wow. This is what I love about Enfold. The community/tech support team is so large and proactive that you can find the solution to almost any issue in a minute.
I had the exact same issue, googled the error string, found this post, saw the Wordfence conflict, too the advice to put WF in learning mode and try the triggering actions, and the solution worked. I set WF back to Enabled after letting it learn the “suspicious” editing actions I was taking in the editor, and the warning is gone.
I recently tried a competitor’s theme, immediately ran into issues, and the tech support experience was miles behind the Enfold experience.
Nice work, everyone!

YigitMay 16, 2016 at 5:41 pm #633174Thanks for the suggestion on WordFence. Yup, I had the same issue trying to open up Text Blocks. Some would open, others would NOT open and I would get the error. Extended Learning Mode for WordFence for another couple of weeks and I will see how it goes.
What was strange was that some Text Blocks would open, others would not.
Thank you.

May 23, 2016 at 3:34 am #636481August 30, 2016 at 3:17 am #679229Hi,
I’m experiencing the same error message every time I try and edit a contact form. “Error fetching content – please reload the page and try again.”
We are also experiencing a problem with the Advanced Layout Editor not loading on certain pages. These pages have the contact forms so I’m guessing it could be related to the same problem. The website was running smoothly until a few days ago and nothing was uploaded or changed.
I have tried reinstalling Enfold and WordPress. The Enfold theme and WordPress are all up-to-date. I have turned all the plugins off and there was still no change.
Our website is: http://www.launchpadapps.com.au
Can you advise me on anything else I can do to try and fix this problem?
Thank you
