I just updated to WordPress 5.4.1 and I’m unable to edit any text blocks. I’m in Portfolio Items > (portfolio item) > Edit. I then drag a Text block to my page and when I click on the text to edit it, it just displays an empty window and does not allow me to edit it.

Also, I’m seeing an error message at the top of the page when I log into WP: “Deprecated: contextual_help is deprecated since version 3.3.0! Use get_current_screen()->add_help_tab(), get_current_screen()->remove_help_tab() instead. in /hermes/bosnaweb23a/b63/ipw.shimooka/public_html/v3/wp-includes/functions.php on line 5088”

    Hey Charles,

I can’t login to your site, please see private. You can try to increase the amount of memory which is allocated to PHP on your site to fix that: http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP

    Best regards,

Hello, it’s been updated you should be able to access now. This seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks!

    Hi,

Thanks for the update, so everything is working as it should now then? Please refer to this for a temporary fix for the warning you referred to: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/error-after-wordpress-update-2/#post-1200131. This should not affect any functionality on your actual site, so you can wait for the theme update instead if you like.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
