I have a fresh install of Enfold, and am noticing that when I install a logo, all of the home page content(text) disappears behind whatever element it was sitting on top of.
What is going on, and how can I fix this? At first when I removed the logo, the content would begin appearing again, but now when I try it the content disappears, but can still be seen in the element flow, however it is hidden behind the background images. The content is not visibility: hidden, and I’ve tried z-indexing it over everything else, but this has to be some kind of a glitch. The content appeared just find when I didn’t have a logo in, and now won’t come back even with the logo deleted.
January 14, 2021 at 6:28 am #1272331Hey bigbadjohn,
Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.
- Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
- Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
- Click ” Create New “.
- Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( to be sure that we have enough time to debug ). - Click ” Submit “.
- You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.
When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create an admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.Best regards,

January 17, 2021 at 5:02 am #1272998Hi bigbadjohn,
Thanks for giving us admin access.
After flushing out the cache it seems to show properly on my end.
I have disabled caching since your site seems to be still in development mode.
Only apply caching when the site is already for production because if caching is on during development, sometimes changes does not appear and some old files are used instead.Best regards,
NikkoJanuary 17, 2021 at 7:22 pm #1273149No, it’s not showing properly at all after flushing the cache – we need a solution for this. I have some of the content showing, other pieces of the content are hidden. Now the main text is over the hero image, but some other parts are gone, like our “popular brands”. There are 4 images in there, and none are displaying as shown in this screenshot.
Every time I change something in the header, things disappear. Sometimes they reappear. Sometimes only half the things disappear. Please help me figure this out, I’ve been using Enfold for my clients for years, and honestly feel embarrassed that I recommended this theme to my latest client with this sort of an issue going on. Here is another screenshot of the categories missing.
January 18, 2021 at 5:36 am #1273218Hi bigbadjohn,
Thanks for providing the screenshots.
There were some js errors in the console.
In Enfold > Performance > Javascript file merging and compression, then set this to Disable – no Javascript file merging and compression fixed the issue.
Newer js files aren’t fetched unfortunately so it might be better to wait for few days then enable this feature again.Best regards,
NikkoJanuary 18, 2021 at 5:42 am #1273225Hey, I appreciate it! That seemed to do the trick. My only worry is that I haven’t written any JS for this website just yet – the errors have to be with the theme code itself(errors on the enfold side, not with my code.) – Are these errors going to be fixed with the next update?
January 18, 2021 at 6:07 am #1273234Hi bigbadjohn,
It’s not necessarily your code but codes generated by Enfold and also merging these existing js files caused issues (but the js files individually does not have an issue).
In most cases, this is just a temporary issue and when this happens just set it to Disable – no Javascript file merging and compression and leave it for some time then enable it again.Best regards,
Nikko -
