On the latest version of Enfold Theme I have a problems with content disappearing.
When I add a new content in any of element box or media box and then click SAVE, content on bottom of edited page sometimes disappears spontaneously and this data is lost.It happens in all 3 my websites made on Enfold Theme. I have the latest version of WordPress and the Enfold.
Could you please help?- This topic was modified 8 years, 11 months ago by skywidget.
January 25, 2016 at 2:24 pm #571353Hey skywidget!
there might be some corrupted files, so please delete all theme files completely via FTP, before installing a fresh copy from your themeforest account: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/install-enfold-over-ftp/
Also try to deactivate all plugins, to check if one is causing this issue and let us know about your results. If that does not help send us admin access, so we can take a deeper look into it. Are we allowed to deactivate all your plugins temporarily by ourselves as well for testing purposes?
Best regards,
AndyFebruary 13, 2016 at 4:45 am #582614Hi Andy,
I am having the exact same problem as Skywidget with content disappearing when I try to update my website. I recently had the theme re-installed and it still did not fix the issue. I read another post on the forum which recommended deactivating all of the plugins, which I did and it did not fix the issue. So then I went a step further and deleted the plugins altogether hoping it would somehow help and it didn’t. I really need help with this issue.
Can you please help me?

February 13, 2016 at 9:14 am #582646I also tried everything and on both my Enfold websites with this problem. I deactivated all plugins, then reinstall Enfold. I also increased php memory. On one website after fresh Enfold install (with new database) it looks good now, but on the second website problem exists again and I couldn’t do anything. I was forced to change to another theme :-(
It looks like it’s Enfold internal problem. Waiting for update.February 15, 2016 at 8:08 am #583160Hi,
The problem you are having is due to unclosed html markup, please check for any unclosed tags to solve the issue.

RikardFebruary 16, 2016 at 9:10 am #583968Hi Rikard,
Thank you for the information. Please forgive my ignorance, but I have no idea what unclosed html markup or unclosed tags are, how to search for them nor how to fix them. :-/ I like this theme a lot because I can drag and drop the sections, which the extent of my expertise. Does Kriesi offer any tutorials that can help guide me in fixing these issues or better yet, a service that can fix my website?
Thank you!
February 16, 2016 at 9:56 am #584003Hey!
Can you please point out the pages where you have the issue so we can check the markup?
Cheers!
YigitFebruary 16, 2016 at 5:56 pm #584302Yes, the pages are Home Page, Leadership, Programs and Contact.
Also, I need to create about three more pages for the website, how do I prevent these issues from happening with the new pages?
Thanks!
February 17, 2016 at 12:54 pm #584654Hey!
@cyevans2010 I edited your pages and fixed the markup. Whoever adding Strong tags is doing it very wrong. As Rikard mentioned above, Strong tags should be opened and closed as following
<strong>Bold text closed properly</strong>
Please pay attention to that in future to avoid having such issues.Two more things i noticed;
– You are not using the latest version of the theme. Keeping up-to-date is always recommended. The latest version of Enfold is currently 3.4.7 – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
– Please try to increase the allocated memory to 128M: http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP
You can contact your service provider and they can do it for you.Best regards,
YigitFebruary 18, 2016 at 1:58 am #585045OMG-I’m the one doing the strong tags wrong but now that I know how to do them correctly I will pay very very close attention going forward. I had no idea something like that could mess up so much; lesson learned. I followed the directions in your link so I can get theme updates. And I will contact ipage about increasing the memory.
Thank you so much for your help Yigit! It was much needed and appreciated.
