Hi, our site has been live for over a month now and we just discovered that although auto responses were going out from the avia contact form, the notification emails were not coming to us. After searching for a solution, we’ve corrected the problem via adding some code to the functions.php file as instructed, however we don’t know how many people attempted to contact us in the meantime. Is there a log somewhere available or stored someplace where they can be recovered? I contacted my hosting service and was told to contact the theme developer. They said if I could find out IF that information was available and in what form, they could help me find it on the server.

Every lost contact is thousands of dollars to us so if there is anyway to accomplish this, I would really appreciate some assistance.

    Thank you

    Hi!

No, as far as i know there is no log when it comes to the built-in contact form.

By “notifications emails” you mean the actual message?

    Cheers!

Yes, I tested the contact form and received the auto response immediately, but the email to notify us that someone had submitted was never received so they got an email from us saying we’d be in touch, but we never knew they contacted us. We have no idea if there were actually any submissions, but on google analytics there were visits to our contact page so we don’t know how many got sent out into the ether somewhere and are waiting to hear from us.

There is no way to know if there were submissions or not. As for right now, is the contact form working as expected?

    Best regards,

Yes it is working now. When I googled the issue, I found that several people had had the same problem and some code was suggested for the functions.php file. I inserted that and retested the form and it is working correctly now.
