I use Contact Form and have the captcha enabled (http://BittenByAZebra.com).
Over the past week or two, I have been getting a lot of spam contact emails. I’ve changed it around a bit. I tried entering my own “spam” (it didn’t work if I didn’t enter the captcha equation).
Is there a way to use a different version of captcha that might be more difficult to break? I am getting russian emails and, also, lots of viagra ads.

We would be glad to help you with this customization, but at the moment there is no easy way to do this by using a small custom code snippet, so I am afraid its out of the scope of our support. You might want to try out more advanced contact form plugins which are dedicated only on this matter like https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7/
