Hello,
Many thanks for your excellent Enfold theme and committed support.
My only remaining issue is that when I edit the formatting of Enfold’s Contact Form, after a while it resets to the default settings. For example, changes to the ‘Form Title’ and colors take effect for a short while, but soon reset to their defaults.
I have seen several other posts about this but cannot find a simple solution (I would rather not use a 3rd-party plugin if avoidable).
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Martin

I’ve changed the form title to test, and as of right now it seems it does maintain the edit.

Many thanks for your help. It does seem to have maintained your edit so I am not sure why it won’t work for me…
I have tried changing the heading to ‘Send us mail test MB’ to see if it stays this time – I will let you know if it works or not.
Thanks,
Martin

Check in another browser / computer to discard.

JosueJuly 29, 2016 at 9:09 am #666510Hi Josue,
I might have found the cause of the problem:
The Contact Form only seems to reformat its colours when I enter no text in the ‘Form Title’ field, leaving it blank.
I was not planning to use any text here (it seems self-explanatory) but if it means I can use the ‘Light Transparent’ colour setting I will add some text. Thanks,
Martin
July 29, 2016 at 8:54 pm #666707Hi again Josue,
It seems as though the problem might not be solved after all… sorry!
However, I might be closer to finding the solution. I now believe that it is changing the color of the form that causes the problem.
Would you mind going to the ‘Color’ tab of the Contact Form and changing it from ‘Default’ to ‘Light Transparent’? When I try this, the whole Contact Form resets to default formatting, but it would be interesting to see if the same thing happens when you try.
Many thanks for your help with this!
Martin
P.S. It would be really useful if each section of the Enfold demo pages could be available to import as Templates within the Avia Layout Builder. I am regretting removing parts of the One Page Portfolio demo page that would now have been useful to re-import (such as the Contact Form) but presumably to get these back I would have to start again with the demo from scratch.
August 3, 2016 at 3:34 am #667904Hi,
We can reproduce the issue in the home page but not in the test page that we created. http://martinbatchelar.co.uk/wp-admin/post.php?post=252&action=edit
Please remove the home’s contact form, update the page then add it back.
Best regards,
IsmaelAugust 3, 2016 at 8:56 am #667945Hi Ismael,
Thanks for getting back to me. I have removed the Contact Form from the Home Page, updated the page, and added it back.
When I then go back into the Colors tab of the Contact Form settings and change to ‘Light Transparent’, the setting is not maintained and still resets to ‘Default’.
Do you have any ideas why this might be?
Many thanks for your help,
Martin
August 5, 2016 at 4:02 am #668799Hi Martin,
Your server seems to have some sort of e-mail protection, that could be the source of the issue, try asking your host to disable it.

JosueNovember 11, 2016 at 2:14 am #710970Hey there!
I’ve got a similar issue, my contact form got stuck in some old settings and as I’ve got several lead generating forms on my site. They all need to be formatted differently, but it’s been impossilble, even after deleting the form, increasing the php memory to its 256 limit and asking my hosting providers to unblock any email protection setting!
I urgently need to re enter some custom “thanking messaging” on each form – as they once existed, but dessapeared sudenly.
I remember having erroneusly switched from Parent to Child theme and having lost some settings a few moths ago, but recovered them manually; however, this “stuckin time form settings” seem to have another cause. Can I get help from you pls?
Cheers,
hacart

Did you subscribe the site to a cdn provider? This old thread might help.
