Contact Form Phone Field

Hi, just wondering if there is a way to ensure the consistency of phone field entries. There is no (enter area code 3 digits), then enter phone number first 3 digits, then enter phone number last 4 digits…

Essentially for database building my client can receive phone fields as:
1234567890
123.456.7890
123-456-7890 (desired)
(123)4567890
(123)-456-7890

It creates a lot of work for them when entering data when the person can fill out any way they want.
