Hello,
I’m new to WordPress and Enfold so please be patient.
I’m not able to get the contact form to send emails. Using an email check plugin I could send an email. I’ve had a look at some other forum suggestions and have created a child page, activated it and added:
function change_cf_from() {
return ” (Email address hidden if logged out) “;
}
add_filter(‘avf_form_from’, ‘change_cf_from’, 10);at the very end of the of the functions.php file.
I still can’t send emails from the contact form. Can you please help?
Also, after reverting to the Enfold theme some of the colours in my menus etc have now changed. Can you please tell me how to recover my original colours?
Thanks, RalphJuly 13, 2020 at 3:37 am #1229821Hello again,
Just wondering if any support is available?
Thanks, RalphJuly 13, 2020 at 5:54 pm #1230013Hi Ralph99,
Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look?
It is recommended to use an SMTP plugin. Are you using one of those?
Best regards,
VictoriaJuly 14, 2020 at 11:33 am #1230263Hi Victoria,
Thanks for your reply,
I wasn’t using an SMTP plugin, but i am now and it seems to be working!I also have another question, with one particular page I’m not able to edit and update the content. All other pages are OK. In order to edit the content of the problem page I create a template and then create a new page using the template. The new page then exhibits the same behaviour.
My credentials are below if you would like to have a look. You will notice that the content at very end of the page in edit mode doesn’t reflect the published page.
Thanks, RalphJuly 14, 2020 at 8:02 pm #1230417Hi Ralph99,
Please try to re-build the page from scratch and see if the issue gets resolved.
Best regards,
VictoriaJuly 15, 2020 at 2:09 am #1230481Hi Victoria,
You’re joking, right?
I’m paying for technical support that tells me to scrap my work and start again?
I’m not impressed. Please offer some serious help
Regards, RalphJuly 17, 2020 at 12:34 pm #1231241Hi,
Sorry for the confusion. What actually happens when you update the page? Are there any lost content after the update? It’s possible that one of the html tags in the page is left open or unclosed. Please check the html tags in the page and make sure that they are closed properly.
Best regards,
IsmaelJuly 18, 2020 at 5:59 am #1231425Hi Ismael,
Thanks for your replyAs I noted in my initial help request, I’m new to WordPress and Enfold so I don’t understand what you mean by html tags being left open
What seems to happen on this one page is that the preview button doesn’t show the updated page contents. When I click Update, the button changes colour and then I see a message saying the page is updated. When I click on the link in the message I’m able to see the updated page, but not when I click on preview, the outdated contents persist.
I’ve included my log in credentials in case you want to have a look at the pages behaviour. The name of the page is now: Bulk Eraser Rebuild or https://audiofile.net.au/?page_id=1984
The preview page that shows the outdated content: https://audiofile.net.au/?page_id=1984&preview_id=1984&preview_nonce=27d4a85a21&preview=true
A minor difference that is immediately visible between the page and its preview is the height of the first colour section

July 21, 2020 at 5:41 am #1231941Hey!
Thank you for the update.
The preview works when we switch the editor from Block to the Classic one.Are you using the Block or Gutenberg editor? If not, then you can keep the editor settings as is.

IsmaelJuly 22, 2020 at 11:53 am #1232222Hi Ismael,
Sorry, I don’t understand what you mean.
When I open the page in the editor it now looks different, did you change something?
The preview page still shows the outdated content: https://audiofile.net.au/?page_id=1984&preview_id=1984&preview_nonce=4fde3402f7&_thumbnail_id=-1&preview=true
Why is it not previewing correctly?
Why only this page?
How can I fix it?
Please provide a detailed explanation that is aimed at the level of understanding of a beginner with WordPress and Enfold. Please provide some context to your answers so that I can understand you.
Thanks RalphJuly 26, 2020 at 6:02 pm #1233375Hi,
Sorry for the delay. Aside from the Advance Layout Builder from the theme, there are two editors (Classic and Block or Gutenberg Editor https://wordpress.org/gutenberg/) available in WordPress by default and you can pick one by adjusting the Enfold > Theme Options > Select Your Editor settings. Switching from the Block editor to the Classic one makes page preview work again.

IsmaelJuly 27, 2020 at 10:27 am #1233469Hi Ismael,
Thanks for your reply
I’ve had a look at the editor setting under the Enfold child theme options and it was already set to Classic.
After changing to Block, there was no difference to the preview, it still displayed incorrectly.
After changing back to the Classic editor, there was no difference to the preview, it still displayed incorrectly.
Toggling between the two editors makes no difference.
Changing a global option does also not explain why only one particular page is previewed incorrectly.
Please answer:
1. How can I get the particular page preview to work correctly?
2. Why is only one page affected?
Please number your responses to the above questions so it is clear which question you are answering.
Thanks, Ralph
PS, why does it take three to four days to receive a reply from the support team?July 30, 2020 at 5:23 am #1234061Hi,
Sorry for the delay. We usually reply within 24-48 hours, but please expect some delay during weekends.
Now going to back to the issue, we already set the editor to Classic, so you don’t have to change it. We also drafted a page, added a few elements to it and managed to see those elements in the preview without issue. We are testing it on Firefox Windows 10. Please check the screenshot in the private field and take note of the URL showing that it’s a preview of the page.
On which browser are you testing this?
Best regards,
IsmaelJuly 30, 2020 at 6:46 am #1234084Hi Ismael,
Thanks for your reply
I can see that your test page previews correctly. All of my pages also preview correctly apart from one.
There is only ONE page that is causing the problem. ONE page only: https://audiofile.net.au/?page_id=1984
This particular page is the ONLY one that is a problem. I’ve attached a screen shot so you see the difference between the way in which this particular, and only this particular page, is previewed incorrectly.
I’ve edited the test page to show screen shots of what I see when browsing to the page and when previewing the page. The red circled areas are different between the two versions of the page. ie the page previews incorrectly.
To reiterate, there is only ONE particular page that is causing problems, the one called Bulk Eraser Rebuild orPlease tell me why this particular page previews incorrectly and how I can fix it?
Regards, RalphAugust 3, 2020 at 7:11 am #1234727Hi,
Thank you for the info.
The preview works fine but for some reason the top area of the page is not editable. Have you tried recreating it from scratch? You may want to manually add the elements instead of saving the current content as template.
Best regards,
IsmaelAugust 3, 2020 at 12:21 pm #1234794Hello Ismeal,
Preview does not work fine, as I’ve repeated said.
The element in the screen shot I sent you can definitely be edited, I know because I edited it especially for you to be able to see the difference!
Your one sentence replies to my thoughtfully prepared questions are very unprofessional. It is now clear to me now that you are deliberately wasting my time. You don’t seem interested in reading my questions nor trying to answer them. Suggesting I rewrite the page from scratch is another joke.
I respectfully ask my problem is escalated to a person who has the ability to actually help me. Please escalate my problem ASAP.
Regards, Ralph
August 6, 2020 at 3:51 am #1235568Hi,
Thank you for the info.
The preview is working properly on our end. We even created a page previously and you did agree that the preview in that page works, same as on every other page, but then you informed us rather repeatedly that the issue is only happening on a specific page. However, when we checked that specific page, the preview worked fine (screenshot below) but we noticed that the top part of the page is not editable. Unfortunately, we are not sure why it’s not editable or why it’s not possible to drag any elements to it.
Have you tried testing the page on another browser? It’s possible that the content of that particular page is corrupted, so another solution since the preview is working on the rest of the site is to create a new page, copy the content of the corrupted page or recreate it from scratch.

In the screenshot above, you will see that we added a text block above the title and a blog posts element below.
We’ll forward the thread to our channel.

IsmaelAugust 6, 2020 at 5:54 am #1235589Hi Ismael,
Thanks for your reply, I appreciate the detailed description of your findings
In answer to your question, yes, I’ve also tried viewing the problem page in Chrome to the same effect
How can I copy the contents of the page to a new page? The only method I know of is to create a template from the existing page, then create a new page and use that template to recreate the contents. This method doesn’t work, the same problem persists in the newly created page.
The way you describe it, it sounds like there is a method for copying content from page to another? Please describe the method and I’ll give it a try.
Is there a problem with Enfold that renders an element of a page uneditable?
Regards, Ralph
August 10, 2020 at 6:13 am #1236374Hi,
For some reason, the top part of the page is now editable and the preview is still working properly. If you’re still experiencing the issue on your end, you can easily transfer the content by saving it as template but since this method doesn’t work, we recommend re-creating the page from scratch or by manually copying the content from the current page to a new page.
Have you tried testing it on a different machine?
Best regards,
IsmaelAugust 20, 2020 at 2:15 am #1239343Hi Ismael,
So we’re back to square one. You’ve run me around for weeks wasting my time and now your suggestion is to start again and write the page from scratch!
Laughable, tech support from Kresi is a joke!
It must really be hysterical to an outside observer, but unfortunately I’m not an outside observer. Just pathetic!
Lucky I didn’t pay for 1 year of your support! What a waste of time and money that would be

August 21, 2020 at 11:18 pm #1239892Hi Ralph,
Sorry for the inconvenience.
I read through each post on this thread and tried reproducing the issue on your page, however preview does work fine on my end too.
For testing, I saved a template called “test-temp” and created a new page and checked the preview on the copy page and it worked fine there too. Please see screenshots and copy page URL in private content field. I tried adding color sections with background color to the top of both pages and previewed them. There is a known preview issue with pages that are duplicated using plugins and since you mentioned you are having the issue with only one page, we wanted to see if that is the case.
