Hi,
Loving this theme guys, so thanks!
When submitting a form via a mobile device the emails are not coming through. The thank you page is triggering but the emails are just not coming through. Neither the confirmation email nor the email to the admin(s).
Looking forward to hearing your response.
Kind regards,
Gideon
February 19, 2015 at 7:06 pm #399167Hey Gwellins!
I sent you a test email. Double check that your address is correct and check your spam folder as well.
This is usually a problem with the server though so I would contact your hosting provider and let them know about this. You can also try installing this plugin, https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-smtp/, and send a test email with it to see if it works.
Best regards,
ElliottFebruary 19, 2015 at 7:15 pm #399176Hi Elliot,
Thanks for the quick response. I received a message with the following;
Name: test
Email (Email address hidden if logged out)
Message: test. Was this submitted on a mobile device? I take it that it was send on a desktop machine.
I tried installing the plugin but this made the situation worse. When I filled out the form with the plugin activated and fully set up I did not get any submissions through at all, not from a desktop machine nor a mobile device so I switched it off.
I spoke to the hosting company who tried filling the form out on a mobile device whilst looking at the logs. They informed me that the server did not even get a request when submitting a form on a mobile device.
Kind regards,
Gideon

Nothing has come through on this end :(

February 23, 2015 at 6:05 pm #400862Hey!
What happens when you remove the page redirect and have the success message display via AJAX?

ElliottFebruary 23, 2015 at 6:09 pm #400869Hi Elliott,
Same issue. The reason I set up the page redirect was to see if it would work with it.
Kind regards,
Gideon
February 24, 2015 at 7:17 pm #401630Hey!
I see you have the contact form 7 plugin activated. Do those forms not work either on mobiles? What happens when you deactivate all of the other plugins, specifically the web portal lite, and then clear your browser cache and try again?

ElliottFebruary 24, 2015 at 7:24 pm #401637Hi Elliott,
Thanks, I tried that, deactivated all plugins and still no luck!
Kind regards,

February 25, 2015 at 6:43 pm #402274Hi!
Hmm, if the contact form 7 is not working either then it doesn’t sound like a theme issue. Your hosting provider still does not have any idea on what it could be? Try deleting your .htaccess file and then refresh your permalinks in Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks again so WordPress recreates it. Perhaps you have some weird blocking code for mobiles in there.
I will flag this for the rest of our team to see if they have any ideas.
Cheers!
ElliottFebruary 25, 2015 at 8:11 pm #402318Hi Elliot,
Sorry, I just tested Contact Form 7 and that DOES work from a mobile device.
The hosting provider does not know the issue as they cannot even see the request coming into the server. I also reviewed the server logs and see nothing there.
I tried deleting the .htaccess file and refreshing the permalinks and that seems to have WORKED!!! Superstar Elliot to the rescue! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Kind regards,
Gideon
