Hello,
my contact form was sending emails correctly, but since a few days it does no more work.
What is strange is that it does not even show the confirmation message it usually showed.
I mean, if I set it to show a message it does not show the message.
If I set it to forward to another page, it correctly forward the user to the other page.
But in both configurations it does not send email.
I tried everything from http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/my-contact-form-is-not-sending-emails/
1. No typos or SPAM. The mail is not send. I contacted the hosting company and they check the log of the mail server. They didn’t find any log
2. WordPress is able to send emails. My booking form is sending correctly mail using PHP mail() function. I added the snippet suggested, but nothing changed
3. Tried to deactivate plugins, but nothing changed
4. Other plugins and php code work with mail() function
5. I would prefer keeping using mail() function without setting SMTP settings, as it is working in other part of my site. So, according to my tests it seems a problem related to the enfold form.
Can you help me ?
kind regards
Antonio
November 22, 2016 at 3:45 pm #715361Hi lombrano!
I have tested the form and change some settings in the form, and it’s not working as what you have said though redirecting to other pages was working well when I tested it, but I didn’t receive any emails (even in spam).
For the meantime, can you use Contact Form 7 or other 3rd party contact form plugins on your live site until we found what’s causing the issue and fix it. Can you tell us what is changed or added to your site before the enfold form stops working? probably some code added or changed, new plugin, plugin or theme update, or upgrade in php version, anything that you could recall might help us. Since the site we are testing is a stage site, would you give us permission to deactivate all plugins? so we can isolate the issue. Also if you would grant us ftp access for the stage site, it would help us inspect further on the issue.

November 22, 2016 at 6:00 pm #715474Hi!
Can you post a separate thread and please post us your login credentials there (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.
Login credentials include:
- The URL to the login screen.
- A valid username (with full administration capabilities).
- As well as a password for that username.
- permission to deactivate plugins if necessary.
Please do what I recommend above for the meantime (use Contact Form 7 or other 3rd party contact plugins that works on your end). As for logs, unfortunately there’s no logs for Enfold’s contact form.

NikkoNovember 23, 2016 at 12:04 pm #715864Hi Nikko,
thank you for your answer.
Actually I didn’t apply any changes to the website since many weeks ago. My last big change was migrating several similar single wp web sites into a single multi-site installation, but that was more than a month ago.
Sure, this is a staging site, so you can test deactivating plugins.
As for the ftp account, yes, I’m writing in the private content the credential to access the file server.
As for using Contact Form 7 it would oblige me to change 10 web sites in both italian and english, so it would be a lot of work. If you’re going to fix this in the immediate future I would prefer waiting for the fix.
Please let me know what else I can do to help you troubleshooting the problem.
Kind regards
Antonio
November 25, 2016 at 11:59 am #716772Hey!
I’ve tried multiple things and it seems to be working on other pages except for the homepage. This is what I did:
- Installed Contact Form 7, tested the form and it’s working
- Created a new page named it test, tested the enfold form and it works (link in private content)
- Duplicated the homepage named it info 101, tested the enfold form and it works (link in private content)
The issue is a bit weird but can you try the 2 enfold form (in the links below) and check if it works on your end too?
Best regards,
NikkoDecember 3, 2016 at 6:44 pm #720063Hello @Nikko,
sorry for my late answer. Yes, I tried both your pages and I can confirm the correctly send the email.
As you say this is very strange.Any idea why the home page is not working while your copy is ?
Best regards
Antonio
December 3, 2016 at 6:51 pm #720065One more detail: if you notice the form does not even show the confirmation message on the page. Evidently something goes wrong before that.

December 3, 2016 at 7:54 pm #720072Hi!
Yes, the issue is very strange because the issue is only on the homepage, what I suggest as a workaround is to use the duplicate as the homepage instead since it has everything the homepage has without the contact form issue. I have tested the duplicate and the contact form works fine and also shows the confirmation message on the page.
Cheers!
NikkoDecember 3, 2016 at 11:20 pm #720107Hi @nikko
Sorry to jump in on this thread – but I had my forms (through CF7) set up and they were working great. Someone would submit info through the contact us page, an auto-responder would be emailed to them saying…blah, blah, blah. Then another email would be sent to me with the information the contact form was collecting. It worked great. NOW…it doesn’t work, and I can’t figure out what happened. Ok…rephrase that…It worked great when I had the site in test mode. Now that it is live, it doesn’t work. What happens now is that the person filling in the information and sending the contact form, receives the email that is supposed to be sent to me and they do not get the auto responder email.Again, sorry to jump in here but I can’t seem to find any support for this and cannot justify hiring someone for what I know is a super easy fix.

December 6, 2016 at 9:43 am #720901Hello @Nikko,
duplicating the home page is working because the duplicated page is not configured as the home. It appears as the problem happens only if the form is in the home.
I think you should investigate this further, as it’s obviously a bug in the software somewhere.

Antonio
December 8, 2016 at 1:29 pm #721931Hi @gwinenvato,
Sorry for late response, I have checked the settings of you footer Contact Form and it’s not configured properly, when you edit the form, go to Mail tab and you should see that To is set to [your-email] which is the email of the one who submit the form, you should change this to your email instead, so you will be the receiver. At the bottom you should see Mail (2) (this is for the autoresponder), this seems to have right configuration. Let us know if this fixes the issue.
PS. Please create a new thread and just tag me too it.
Best regards,
NikkoDecember 8, 2016 at 1:38 pm #721937Hi Antonio,
I would really like to dig deeper into the issue however I don’t have any clue as to what causes this, can you try to set the duplicate as the homepage since they have the same content and try if the contact form works or not.
Cheers!
