    Hi

If I install a SSL certificate on a WP site with Enfold theme. Is the data sendt from the contact form also encrypted when sent? I havent worked much with SSL and I am not a hardcore coder. So the answer might be obvious but I am unsure.

Found this great guide for setting up SSL, but it didnt cover this.

    Thanks

    Asked in a differnet way.

If I need to send an email from a contact form using Enfold theme. Do I need to use a different plugin for mail forms to send it securely via SSL?

    Hey!

I’m not sure if that happens automatically or not. I would try contacting your hosting provider about this to see what they think.

I remember the WP SMTP plugin has an SSL encryption option, https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/.

    Best regards,

So using that Plugin, with SMTP data from hosting provider I can use the default mail form template in the Enfold theme?

    Hi!

Yep, the plugin switches the WordPress wp_mail() function to use SMTP instead of PHP mail.

    Cheers!
