Hi,
I have imported the Enfold Church Demo, and everything was working fine. I had made one text update to the Contact page yesterday which worked, but today when I went to update the same text, I received a 404 error. Updating this text locally works fine, so I tried updating the page in the database by copying the post content from my local db. After some debugging, I found that it is the Contact Form that is causing the error and the page is able to update without it. However, I’d like to include the contact form and was wondering what specifically I need to do for this to work properly.
Thank you,

You can try to update the permalinks on the Settings > Permalinks

John TorvikMay 12, 2017 at 6:54 am #792088Hey John,
Thanks for the quick response! I had tried that in the past and just tried again, but to no avail. It seems to be caused by the Contact Form content element. If I remove it from the page, I am able to update the page. However, I would like to include the Contact Form on the page.
Thanks,

Can you give us temporary admin access? so we can check further, and give us steps to reproduce the issue.
Best regards,

Of course, the information is included.
Thanks again,
TreyMay 15, 2017 at 9:08 am #793214Hi,
Sorry for the late response and have checked your backend, and can confirm what you have mentioned. Can you give us ftp access? so we can try to debug and check it further? also for the meantime try using some contact form plugins like Contact Form 7 as your temporary form on your contact page.
Best regards,
NikkoMay 15, 2017 at 10:22 pm #793559Hi,
I have given the FTP details below. I will try to use Contact Form 7 for the time being, but would prefer not to.
Thank you,
TreyMay 16, 2017 at 6:48 am #793732Hi,
Thanks for providing the ftp access. I tried to check and turn on debug, but there’s no error appearing, I couldn’t figure out what’s causing the issue. Can you give us permission to deactivate plugins as well? and re-update your enfold theme.
Best regards,
NikkoMay 23, 2017 at 6:13 pm #798416Hey!
Thank you for using our theme.
Could reproduce your problem – it occurs when you use the select element in a contact form.
As far as we have figured out there must be a conflict with the security programs your hoster is using. This is breaking the WP admin_ajax call and forces a rerouting to 404 page.
Can you please check with your hoster, which programs he is using (e.g. like mod_security).
If possible, can he switch off these security programs to allow a check, if the page works. To get access to the error logs would also be helpful.
Regards,
