Hello, I’m having some trouble with the contact form on my website.
When I receive an email via our contact form, I’d like to be able to click ‘reply’ and have the user’s email (being collected in the contact form) automatically populated into the recipient field. I’m using the basic contact form and before i didn’t have this problem, now in the recipients field it shows ” (Email address hidden if logged out) ” so i can’t answer and confirm reservations, or see who sent the mail.

    Hi,

Thank you for using Enfold. And I would like to apologize for the late response.

Did you change or filter the “from” address? Please check if the “avf_form_from” filter is added in the functions.php file.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    * Add your own functions here. You can also copy some of the theme functions into this file.
    * WordPress will use those functions instead of the original functions then.

    Hi,

Edit the contact form and set the email field’s “Form Element Validation” to “Valid E-mail Address”. That should fix the issue.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

We had it like that before, but when my clients put an email address @gmail, @yahoo they never reach my email address, not even in spam. I was told from my provider that they are being rejected completely from the system. That’s why we changed, as i never had any problems that way. And it’s working, the problem it’s coming out as a no-reply, and not showing the email, so I can’t respond.

    Hi,

The form uses that field and set it as the from address. If it doesn’t exist, it’s going to use the “no-reply” email address by default, which is what you’re currently receiving. Unfortunately, we don’t have any control over what your email server filters, so you have to contact your hosting provider.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
