Hi,
After reporting this issue, I was told to update the Enfold theme, which I did- but the construction demo import is still not working.
Could it be something else?
I don’t want to change anything on the construction demo- it is perfect for my needs.
All I will do change is logo, colours, images and heading/ copy content as well as reduce the number of pages.
Please can you help me quickly, I am behind schedule:)Thanks in advance,

Could you try deleting everything under Media/Post/Pages and try again? Usually when an import fails the first time it will fail after that as well because some of the content is already there.

I’ve tried as well with the same results as you unfortunately, I have no idea why it’s not working. We can add the pages for you manually by adding the shortcode for them though, do you want all the pages or just a few? If just a few then please link directly to them.

May 11, 2016 at 1:12 pm #630671When I see the pages that you added in the edit pages section, I can add content to the slider, the special heading etc. I then save in the editor/ page builder and then update. When I clear my cache and then refresh the updated changes are not visible.
Am I doing something wrong?Please help urgently.

May 11, 2016 at 1:53 pm #630702As a test, I added another slider beneath the existing slider (home page) – placed one demo image in it and then saved + updated. then I cleared my cache and refreshed.
Can’t see any changes.

Please update the theme to the latest version. That should fix any issues you are currently experiencing :)
To update to the latest version follow the simple instructions here. (Or if you want the super detailed explanation you can read this blog post)
If that does not help, feel free to reply here and we will take a closer look at the issue. In that case please also add your WordPress login credentials (in the “private data” field) so we can take a look at your admin area

I have updated. Nearly three weeks ago.
I have done everything you’ve asked since and it didn’t work.
Then you guys installed the pages from the demo theme and still no result.Please help me sort this out quickly- this has been going on for over two weeks.

We need to take care of two issues that could be causing this problem.
1. It appears that the folder permissions are not set correctly at the moment and wordpress require some folders to be writeable.
2. As Andy mentioned you are using an old version.
To resolve folder permission issue please check this link https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions
To update the theme please try this plugin to clear WordPress transients if you do not receive auto updates and make sure your API key is correct: https://wordpress.org/plugins/artiss-transient-cleaner/.
If it does not help, I am afraid you might need to update the theme manually – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Unfortunately not all Server environments are able to make use of the auto update feature provided by ThemeForest :/

We cannot validate Themeforest API key if you got it this Jan it should be valid. If you have any issue please generate a new API key.

Finally updated theme. It is now Version 3.5.4
I uninstalled WP, re-installed WP then installed a freshly downloaded theme.
I installed the demo theme, and it worked on the second try:)Thank you for your help:)
