Hi
We are currently using the Enfold theme and every time I try to edit a page (using the advanced layout editor) it just spins and says, “Connection lost. Saving has been disabled until you’re reconnected. We’re backing up this post in your browser, just in case.” I tried researching this myself and figured maybe it was a conflict with the theme and plug-ins? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but got nothing. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

RikardApril 9, 2018 at 3:44 pm #939280Thank you! It happens on every single page actually. I can not make changes to any page without getting that notice.
April 10, 2018 at 6:06 am #939585Hi,
Thanks for that, I tried updating the page in private a few times but I can’t reproduce what you are describing. It works without any problems on my end. Could you try to from a different machine or a different network to see if that helps?

RikardApril 10, 2018 at 4:23 pm #939927Thanks for looking! I’ve tried this on a couple different browsers too. It seems to be ok now? Last week I could not work on anything at all without getting that notice. It would just spin and spin saying the connection was lost.
April 11, 2018 at 9:46 am #940319Hi BBM,
You might want to update to php5.6.3 or php7 and see if the issue remains.
If you need further assistance please let us know.

VictoriaApril 11, 2018 at 7:24 pm #940621I’m working on a page now and when I go to preview it, it now goes to a page that says. “Page isn’t working” and deletes everything I worked on. If I got back to the page it just spins.
We have Legacy Linux which does not support PHP 5.6.3 or 7. Do you have any other recommendations before I’d have to switch my hosting over? I’d like to try and avoid that if possible.
Thanks so much for your help!

April 12, 2018 at 2:32 pm #940978Hi,
I’m not an expert on hosting in any way, but PHP 5.6 is a minimum for running WordPress itself, so if your hosting provider cannot provide at least that then I would recommend you to look for alternatives.
