I have the same issue as https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-and-wp-types-views-content-template-not-playing-well-together/
I tried his solution but it does not work with me. I tried with other themes, all works fine. It only bugs with Enfold.
I made a test page: http://p3.capital-experts.com/testprof/
With other themes, if I click on the link of the page above, I will have a form to edit content, but all what I have is the default post template of EnfoldCould you please have a look at my site?
Thank youApril 27, 2015 at 5:35 pm #435451Hey nsahli!
I viewed the page but I didn’t see any javascript errors. The form itself seems to function properly so I’m not sure what the problem is. Can you take a screenshot and highlight what is going on?
Best regards,
ElliottApril 27, 2015 at 10:54 pm #435701Dear Elliott,
Thank you for your help. I want this:
=> show edit form links only on this page: http://p3.capital-experts.com/testprof/
=> click on edit for link
=> display edit form on same page
Currently, it is using Enfold, so try http://p3.capital-experts.com/testprof/ and click on the link. You will see that it is not really editing. Now change the theme to Twenty Fifteen and go to http://p3.capital-experts.com/testprof/ and click on the link. You will be able to edit the post: this is what I want to do while keeping Enfold.
Thank you for helping with thisApril 28, 2015 at 8:26 pm #436349Hi!
When I view your link now this is the only thing I see. I clicked on the edit link like you said but it takes me to a 404.
Have you contacted the plugin authors?
Cheers!
ElliottApril 28, 2015 at 9:27 pm #436387Hi,
What you see if fine. If you click on “edit john Smith” you will get http://p3.capital-experts.com/candidate/john-smith/?cred-edit-form=4014
which shows the form to update. This is ok. I am using default wordpress though. Now if you activate Enfold, and you try to click on “edit john Smith”, you cannot edit the form anymore.
Yes I contacted the plugin authors. They said it is related to Enfold because it works with almost most themes. They are still trying to see if they can find a solution.
As I said before, other Enfold users are getting the same problem when using toolset https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-and-wp-types-views-content-template-not-playing-well-together/
The issue has also been discussed in Toolset forum but the solution is not working with me, you can have a look, it may help to see the problem closer:
http://wp-types.com/forums/topic/content-template-doesnt-work-for-single-page-with-enfold/
And toolset is not a simple plugin that can be easily changed by an alternative. It is almost a must for many wordpress developers now. Myself, I always use it with Avada and works fine.
Hope, we can sort this out :(April 30, 2015 at 4:43 pm #437577Hi!
Well it sends me to a 404 when I clicked on the link so I’m not sure what you mean by “not able to edit the form” as I do not see any forms anywhere.
I read the link in the plugins support forum you provided and it sounds like it’s because your using the advanced layout builder, try using the default editor to see if it works there.
Regards,
ElliottApril 30, 2015 at 6:10 pm #437626Hi,
I am not using advanced layout builder.
Sorry, something went wrong with the link.
Please check again http://p3.capital-experts.com/testprof/
Try to click for example on “edit John Smith”, you will see a form. Now if you switch to Enfold theme, you will not be able anymore to edit the form.Regards
NSMay 1, 2015 at 8:44 pm #438269Hey!
It’s still giving me a 404. Are you using a caching plugin?
Cheers!
ElliottMay 1, 2015 at 9:02 pm #438273No I am not using any caching plugin. I just tried now to access the website with my credential then with username Enfold. It works fine. I tested with Chrome and firefox as well. Could you please clear your cache and try again? or try with a different browser?
When I click on “edit John Smith” it shows me a form http://p3.capital-experts.com/candidate/john-smith/?cred-edit-form=4014
I don’t know why you are getting 404!Regards

May 4, 2015 at 4:44 pm #439056Hi!
Now all I’m seeing is the shortcode. It might be best to find a different plugin to use.

May 4, 2015 at 7:07 pm #439207Hi Sorry,
I was trying to solve the issue when you accessed the website and the plugin was turned off. I put it on now. Please go to
http://p3.capital-experts.com/testprof/
Click on edit booking1
You will see a form to update the content of the booking
Now change the theme to Enfold and redo the same steps, you will see that the form is not working anymore.
I installed avada as well, so you can see that with avada it is working fine. Unfortunately not with Enfold
Sorry for the inconvenienceMay 5, 2015 at 5:45 pm #439883Hi!
I see the form now. Not sure why it’s not displaying when Enfold is activated. The plugin is kind of confusing to me.
It looks like the plugin has a support forum though, https://wp-types.com/forums/topic/content-template-doesnt-work-for-single-page-with-enfold/, so I would try asking the question there to see if they have any idea on what it could be.
Cheers!
ElliottMay 5, 2015 at 5:51 pm #439892Thanks Elliott,
Meanwhile I also asked wp-types support. They transferred my request to the developers. They may need Enfold help to sort this out. But trust me, this is very important for your theme future since wp-types is becoming very popular. My company, for example, we use this wp-types in all our projects now.Regards
NSMay 7, 2015 at 3:03 pm #440968Hi!
I think you are right, so I am sure Kriesi will talk with them and find a solution. As he is very busy he will need some time for a possible fix. Thanks for being patient.
Cheers!
