I’m using the Google Maps PLUS for Visual Composer plugin (http://tekanewascripts.com/googlemapsforvc with the Enfold theme. There are a few conflicts between the Visual Composer plugin and the Advanced Visual Editor feature used by Enfold. When my client tries to edit content on a page using the Advanced Visual Editor it only shows the spinning loading icon and won’t open the actual editor.
Disabling the Visual Composer plugin allows the Advanced Visual Editor to work, but when we do that you see shortcode used by the Visual Composer on the map page. Unfortunately with the layout of the website and content we don’t have any choice but to use the editor built into the theme and need to using the other visual editor to update the map. I know there might not be much you can do about this, but wanted to post anyway just in case there was a chance it was something that could be addressed. Thanks!

Thank you for bringing this to our notice but I am afraid you’ll need to contact the plugin author for more info about the issue. Making third-party plugins compatible with the theme is unfortunately beyond the support scope we offer. Sorry for that!

VinayAugust 31, 2016 at 7:28 pm #680291Thanks for the reply. I already spoke to the plugin author. Here’s what they had to say…
…my add-on to VC can’t affect the general conflicts between the two page editors, as it is just an add-on. Whatever is causing the conflicts must be resolved between the two actual page builders, and that is unlikely to happen, as every page builder simply expects to be used without having to “watch out” for another competing page builder.
So only other thing I can do is contact the developer of the Visual Composer plugin. But I suspect they will tell me the same thing.September 2, 2016 at 6:30 am #681132Hi,
Thanks for the feedback, just wanted to know why you need two visual editors at the same time?

RikardSeptember 2, 2016 at 12:55 pm #681265The Visual Composer plugin is required by the Google Maps PLUS for Visual Composer plugin in order to update and work with maps you create with it. The Advanced Visual Editor built into Enfold is needed for basically everything else in the website when it comes to layout of pages/updating content.
The only workaround I’ve been able to figure out is to temporarily disable the Visual Composer plugin when making content updates.
September 4, 2016 at 6:34 am #681728Hi,
Ah ok, that makes more sense. Wouldn’t there be any other solution as to your maps? What does the Google Maps PLUS plugin do which you are not able to do with for instance the Maps element in the theme?
Unfortunately I think your workaround is the best “solution” for your situation, the Enfold builder and Visual Composer do not get along at all in my experience.

RikardSeptember 6, 2016 at 1:32 pm #682598No, not really. We selected that plugin because it had the features we required and the client has already paid for it to be set-up and implemented.
September 10, 2016 at 7:13 pm #684548Hi,
Visual Composer Plugin is incompatible with Enfold theme unfortunately. You would need to hire a freelance developer to make it compatible for you. You can hire one here: http://kriesi.at/contact/customization
