I have a new client which is a concert venue. On the home page, I want to show the next 3-6 concerts coming up at the venue, but none of the past concerts. I am looking for the best way to do that using Enfold.

My original thought was to have each concert set as its own post and to display the posts using Blog Post with the post date equal to the date/time of the concert. I was thinking to use a “Blog Post” element for this. But, I do not see how to set the Start Date equal to “today”, meaning the day that the person is viewing the website. Is there a way to do that? It seems that the date needs to be fixed and I need it to be when it is being viewed.

If not, do you have a better recommendation for a way to do it or a plugin for this purpose?

    Thank you

    Hey rmatus,

Are you using some kind of events plugin? They normally have the upcoming events function.

    Best regards,

Actually, I had not decided on an events plug-in, yet. I am exploring the best way to do this and had originally thought about posts. Any recommendations for plugins that work well with Enfold?

    Hi rmatus,

Well, the blog posts element’s date range is not dynamic and it does not have the “Today” option so it does not really work as you need. It probably can be customized but why bother if specialized plugins exist.

A lot of users are using the Events Calendar.

If you need further assistance please let us know.
