Hi,
We’re having an issue with the comments not appearing on a recently published post:
https://www.goingthewholehogg.com/upper-mustang-trek-guide/
Shortly before we published the post, we were no longer able to preview any changes or additions – an older version was being shown. The same thing was happening with a draft post that we were copying various templates from: Copy of Annapurna Circuit Trek: The Essential Guide
We went ahead and published the post – everything was fine except that the comments section was not appearing. Also, if we now try to preview the published post, we’re still being shown the older version. Perhaps there’s a bug?
All relevant caches have been cleared but the problem remains. We have also checked out previous threads on the forum but have been unable to find a solution.
We’ve attached login details in case you need to take a look.
Any help greatly appreciated as always,
Thanks,
Del Hogg

Thank you for the inquiry.
The comment area should display automatically when the default editor is active, but it looks like you’re using the advance layout builder to create the content of that particular post. If that’s the case, then you have to include the Comments element somewhere in the builder. The element is under the builder’s Content Elements tab.
Best regards,

We added the Comments element to the bottom of the post as usual, but it is not appearing when we view the post.
Looking in the Default Editor, there is a message at the top saying ‘This block contains unexpected or invalid content’ with the option to Resolve or Convert to HTML.
We have never dealt with this issue before and are unsure how to proceed.
And as mentioned in the previous comment, we are unable to preview any changes to the post as the preview shows an older version of the post.
Any help greatly appreciated,
Del Hogg
July 1, 2020 at 11:01 am #1227215Hey again,
So I switched to the Classic Editor then deleted and added the comments element again. It is now appearing in the post. I’m also getting the current version when I preview the post too.
I switched back to the Default Block Editor and the previous warning about ‘unexpected or invalid content’ had disappeared.
So it seems all is working normally and no help is needed.
Thanks,
Del Hogg
