    Comments don’t show up on pages. They show up fine on posts, but not on pages.

    While editing a page, I checked the “Allow comments” box. But on the published page, there is no section at the bottom to allow visitors to post a comment.

    I tried unchecking the box, click Update, checking the the box and click Update. It doesn’t work.
    Even after updating to WordPress 4.0 a couple weeks ago, and after updating the Enfold theme last night, it still doesn’t work.

    Please help.

    Hi Nathan!

    If you are using the layout builder you need to add in the comment element on to the page where you want the comments to show up.

    I don’t know what the layout builder is. I don’t think I’m doing that. I think I’m just using the regular edit page feature.

    I’m not able to log in to your site but take a look at this video: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/portfolio-item/intro-to-the-advanced-layout-editor/

    It looks like the default comment output might have been removed at some point so for the short term you’ll need to switch to the Avia Layout Builder by clicking on the Advanced Layout Builder button on that page. Then go to the Content Elements tab and drag the Comments element down below your text element to add it to the page layout.

    I don’t know, that Advanced Layout stuff is kind of intimidating.

    Isn’t there a way to just make it work like it’s supposed to?

    I would definitely say give it a try at some point since its the majority of what the theme does best and even more so now with version 3.0.

    For now add this shortcode at the end of your page to output the comments:

    Yes, Devin, that works.
    Thank you for that temporary solution.

    I look forward to hearing back about a permanent fix so the check box “Allow comments” works.
