comments font size

Hey,

I`m trying to change the font size of the comments by adding the following to custom.css or the quick style, but no luck:
#top .comment_text { font-size: 48px;}
and even this:
#respond p.comment-subscription-form label { font-size: 46px !important; }

but no change….

Please help.
