    Hi,
    I would like visitors to be able to use a comments section for blog posts on this website: https://sgbell.org/sg-bell-blog/
    Originally I had comments switched off in settings:
    Discussion Settings > Default Post settings > Allow people to submit comments on new posts.
    Now comments are switched on but the comments area is not appearing in my post. The post has “screen options > comments” ticked. And “allow comments” ticked further down the page.
    I have purged the cache.

    Can you help please?

    Hey Fionadee,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    Did you switch to the Advanced Layout Builder? If so, you’ll need to manually add the Comments element in the editor to display the comments section in the post.

    Hi Ismael,

    I’m not using Advanced Layout editor here as I wanted a simple solution for my client, so they could easily make posts without having to think about adding elements.
    I have also tried deactivating plugins but that doesn’t help.
    Any other ideas as to what the problem might be?
