Hi!
I don’t know if it’s possible in the masonry portfolio, but I want to achieve the following effect:
So, the preview images have a colored layer over them with just a bit of transparency. And in an ideal world, I can define which color goes with which portfolio entry. Clicking on the preview then shows me the original image with a piece of text. Knowing we don’t live in an ideal world, is there any way of doing this without hiring a developer to program this?
Because I know it’s a lot to ask, can I alternatively use a different image for the preview (I create the effect in photoshop) and then link to another (larger) image which shows the ‘normal’ state of the picture. So can I let one picture link to another?
Hello!
I don’t think that would be possible without a custom modification to the Theme, maybe you would want to search for alternative Masonry plugin which include this feature. You can also request a customization quote here.
Cheers!

Hi Josue,
Thanks for your quick response! I’ve searched through a number of plugins just now and there doesn’t seem to be a solution which fits my needs. I’ll continue my quest though… But as an alternative, isn’t it possible to load 2 different images? One for the masonry preview and one for the actual image in the portfolio?
regards,
Maikel
Hey!
Take a look at this plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/multiple-featured-images/installation/ (some coding may be required).
Cheers!

thanks for the great tip! I’ll look into it soon.
