    Hello,

Inside the Color Section, when you try to add a youtube video and force it to HD using ‘&vq=hd1080’, Enfold (I believe) builds the url for the iframe, but does not respect the parameters given to it.

    Example:
    Color Section background video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vrdgDdPApQ&vq=hd1080
    URL Enfold generates: src=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/0vrdgDdPApQ&vq=hd1080?iv_load_policy=3&showinfo=0&controls=0&color=white&autohide=1&version=3&loop=0&playlist=player_119_459578149_1387471440&wmode=opaque&rel=0&hd=1&videoid=0vrdgDdPApQ%26vq%3Dsmall&autoplay=0&html5=1&enablejsapi=1&origin=http%3A%2F%2Fled.comercionosso.pt”

Notice that ‘&vq=hd1080’ comes before ‘?iv_load_policy=3’ and that’s why the video fails to play in HD, thus preventing me from forcing HD quality on the video.

Is there any way to fix this?
Is there any way to fix this without using the text tab?

    I love Enfold, great theme!
    Cheers!

    Hey lder_rs77!

I don’t think that is going to matter. The youtube player should display the correct quality depending on how big the video is. If the video uses large dimensions then it will display as HD. If it’s a smaller screen then the quality will be less, etc etc.

You can test this by using the youtube embed code and use different sizes.

    Hi,

I am also trying to figure out how to get YouTube video to auto play in my colour section at HD quality. I understand how to get the embed code for a larger size but the link input area of the colour section doesn’t accept embed codes, just URLs. Therefore, do I need to add a parameter to the URL or modify the source code? If it’s the source code, where do I find it and what line do I change and how? I have video on multiple pages that I need this to work for.

Also maybe you could explain how I can use video uploaded by me for the colour section? I’ve watched your tutorial on adding video but no mater what mp4 I upload it won’t play. Must it be under 2mb in size? If yes, how do I get HD quality?

    Thank you,

    Mary

    Hey!

Youtube will always display the highest quality depending on the size of the video and your internet connection speed. See here for more info, https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/91449?hl=en.

Send us a link to your page where your uploading your own MP4 and we’ll take a look.

    Cheers!

    Hi!

Your video is playing fine for me. What browser are you using?

    Best regards,

    Hi Elliot,

My mistake, I had not published the test page yet so you were just seeing the homepage. If you check the link now you can see that it won’t play. Also can you confirm the upload size limit for wordpress? My HD video is 50Mb, how would you suggest uploading that? Is YouTube the most efficient way?

    Thank you so much!

    Hey!

You can’t just upload videos on WordPress without installing video plugins (https://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=video&sort=). It will enable self-hosted videos for WordPress. Or you can upload the video on vimeo or youtube. Best format is H.264 or MP4.
