    I am sure you have been asked this before but I need a solution as it is stoping my potential customers from viewing our site on apple devices which is why we purchased the theme in the first place.

    I have used the color section to add a full screen video to the top of the page so when the page loads you see a full screen video that auto-plays. The problem is that the video does not work or play on any apple devices meaning that I cannot view the video on my Macbook pro, iphone or ipad.

    Can yo please tell me why this is happening and how I can fix the problem so that the video works on an mac-book or apple devices. This is pretty critical to the theme being usable.

    A fast response would be welcome.

    I loaded your web site on my MacBook and it plays properly, are you using a specific browser and is not functioning?

    The problem is with Safari on all Apple devices. The color section video will not play at all on any Apply devices when using Safari. It works fine on Firefox, Chrome and Explorer.

    Can you advise why the videos will not play and how to fix the problem.

    I need tro know how long a fix for this problem is going to take. I purchased the Enfold theme to create a website for a Car Home so that customers can see our promotional video as a full screen header on teh website. The Enfold color section video caims to do this perfectly and does acheve this if customers are using any browser apart from Safari. This is not great as a very large percentage of our customers will be viewing the website on an Apple device using Safari. This does seem to make the theme unusable and unfit for the reson it was purchased.
    I would therefore becasue of this reason like to request a refund on teh cost of teh theme so I can invest the money in a theme that is compatable with Apple devides.

    Can you please tell me when you beleve you will have a soloution to the problem and how I go about requesting a refund should the solotion not eb achieveeable very soon. THe website is now completely ready to go live apart from this issue. I can see from teh forum that requests for this issue have been made for a very long time but there is still no soloution avaliable yet your suporting documentationmakes no reference to the fact that the Color section videos are not compatable with Safari.

    If you web site is complete ready, I suppose you are not going to rebuild it, so the refund is out of the question, right? :)
    We have worked a solution for that issue and we have an update that will come out today or tomorrow.

    We would appreciate your patience a little bit, until we can push it out!

    In your last email you said the update would come out today or tomorrow. That was on the 31 of January.

    Has the update been released yet? If so where do I get it from and does it fix the issue with videos not playing on Safari on any Apple devices.

    If you have not found a solution then I would still like a refund as your Enfold Theme is not fit for purpose.

    I would prefer a solution to the problem but I need it today.

    a fast response would be appreciated.

    update to enfold 4.2.3 this solves my trouble concerning to that topic.

    if the automatic update is not shown on Enfold Options – update via ftp – It’s the safest way anyway

    Can you confirm that the color section video now works on Safari Browser on Apple Devices before I update my theme? Your last update broke the website and needed additional CSS adding to rectify the problem.

    update to enfold 4.2.3 this solves my trouble concerning to that topic.

    i don’t know how big was the version-difference on your last update – but this could alwas happen when new features are added.
    f.e. the hamburger menu changes on 4.0.x to 4.1.x

    i always update via ftp. this wastes a bit more time – but it is the safest way.

    Updates should not break your site as long as you are not updating from a very old version of theme as @guenni007 said. That is why we recommend keeping the theme updated.
    To be on the safe side, you can create a testing environment and update the theme there – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/move-from-a-local-installation-to-a-live-server/
