Hi there,
Thanks for this fantastic theme first of all, I am building a new front page to my site and included a color section with video background. After the 2.5.3 update today the video background is not displayed any more, solid black background is displayed instead. I tried various browsers and computers with the same result, so I suspect the issue has come with the new version.
Please let me know if you have the same problem, or if you have a solution to the issue.
Thanks
Mark
February 21, 2014 at 9:08 pm #227681I‘m having the same issue. However I‘m pretty sure that the error came suddenly, since yesterday it was working fine and suddenly stopped working without any update.
February 22, 2014 at 12:36 am #227772Hey!
Are you using a video service or self-hosted videos?
Best regards,
JosueFebruary 23, 2014 at 10:10 am #228093Personally I tried both, however neither works.
February 23, 2014 at 12:06 pm #228110I am using a youtube link. It was able to use the same link with the previous version of the theme.
Thanks

February 23, 2014 at 4:47 pm #228132Hi!
Can everyone update to 2.5.4 and then re-set your youtube/vimeo/html5 video links on the specific section (re-add in the link and save that element on the page).
Make sure that the youtube links are in the format youtube.com/watch?v= and then the video id and not the youtu.be/ .
Best regards,
DevinFebruary 23, 2014 at 9:12 pm #228206Ok for me with 2.5.4, even without resetting the links…

February 24, 2014 at 3:43 am #228312@zahedi – Can you try disabling all active plugins and trying again? There is a lot of potential for conflict with overlapping functionality/js/caching going on. I was able to play mp4 and vimeo videos but youtube videos weren’t loading for me. Not sure if a plugin conflict with that specifically could be the cause.
For anyone else if we can please log in and look at things first hand it will be the most helpful way to get things sorted out. Also if its happening on a specific browser/OS as well.
February 24, 2014 at 4:46 am #228336Hey @zahedi !
Just checked the site and it works fine for me, video is playing nicely. which browser and OS are you using?

February 24, 2014 at 6:05 am #228348Hey!
I just checked your page source code and it seems your webserver still serves the old js/shortcode.js file, so either you got a caching problem or the update did not replace your javascript files. How exactly did you update?
Would recommend the 2 following steps: first try to delete all cache files generated by your performance plugins or for testing purpose even disable it. if that doesnt help re-download the theme from themeforest and make sure to replace the whole enfold/js/ folder…

February 25, 2014 at 1:26 pm #228983Hi Devin & Gilbert,
I can also confirm the same black screen on iPad and iPhone. It is not so critical in my case, I was not even aware that it is supposed to work. Anyway if you can fix it would be great.
Thanks
Mark
February 25, 2014 at 3:32 pm #229027It happens the same, pc and mac if the videos look good.
But do not see the video in mobile terminals and any tablets or smartphone operating system, I have an android phone and iphone and can not see the video.
In tablets is not, I’ve had in Iphone, and android system and also is black, or not play youtube or vimeo.
Vimeo is the static image and can not be played in youtube goes black.

March 8, 2014 at 11:43 am #234141Hi!
We’ll release a new update (Enfold 2.6) next week. It will introduce a “fallback image” feature for devices which can’t play the video(s). These devices will then show an image instead of a video and imo this is a graceful fallback.
