Tagged: color section, ie, internet explorer
Hi guys,
I had a call from a customer yesterday trying to fill out a survey form on our site but he couldn’t see it. Of course being the arrogant web designer I thought he was being stupid.. WRONG! :)
I realised he was using Internet Explorer, so I opened it and the colour section shows (background image, height, color overlay etc.. ) but all the content was missing! I’ve tested a couple of pages out and they all do the same thing.
If I let the color section resize depending on the content (“no minimum height etc..”) it works fine!? Odd
Any ideas please?
Weirdly though, this page DOES work?! http://www.ecdis.org/inspectors/
Hi,
Sorry for the delay.
We will gladly help you with this, but at the moment when i visit your site to check for the issue the site is offline with a database connection error.
Please get back to us when we can login and inspect the site so we can help you fix this :)
Best regards,
Vinay
Hi Vinay,
Thanks, sorry it’s back up again now (I keep having issues with a weekly offsite backup not deleting, which then knocks all my websites out!)
Please take a look and let me know, thanks
Hi,
What version of IE is this? I checked the site on IE8 and I was able to reproduce the issue. Do you have the latest version (3.5.4) of the theme? The debugging info has been removed. Please try to deactivate the plugins then check the site again on IE.
Best regards,
Ismael
Sorry Ismael, rookie mistake! I disabled all plugins, and figured out it was the “Black Studio TinyMCE Widget” causing the problem.. no idea why!
Sorry to have wasted your time
