I’m using the “coming soon” template and I have placed a video (via YouTube) for the background image. The video plays fine with Chrome and Firefox but will freeze in Safari. I’m using version 9.1.2 (10601.7.7) of Safari. This is on a local drive via MAMP, for testing and development of course at this time.

we need a link to check the elements in question. On our own installation it’s working fine on Safari.
Best regards,

As I stated it is on a local server via MAMP at this point. What version of Safari are you running? What video are you using?

David
August 18, 2016 at 4:58 pm #674243Hi,
check our demo site if it’s working for you or not and let us know if you get the same result as on your local installation and send us a link of one of our demo sites if it’s really not working for you. We really need a link to check the elements in question, to be able to help you.
Best regards,

Well I got things to work, I switched over to Vimeo. I’m not sure what is wrong with YouTube (I used the very same video file types m4v/mp4) but for some reason things are working with Vimeo. As I had stated earlier the site is in the testing phase where it is now on a local server. I was trying to get info on what version of browser and other software was being used by the support team but never received that info so I could try to track things down (oh well).
As I work/learn Vimeo I’ll figure out what they do different than YouTube, as soon as I figure that out I’ll report my findings… stay tuned.
Regards,
David
