I am having an issue with the video loading in the color section on this page – https://www.oceanfrontvac.com/ – in Internet Explorer. Looks like there are a couple of js errors on the page, one is with shortcodes.js and the other is with a real estate plugin. I deactivated that plugin and retested the page and the video did not load.
Can you you take a look and see if you can offer any advice? Thank you!
Hey blizzmarketing,
Thank you for contacting us and sorry for the delay.
I checked your site on IE and found the same problem. This is due to a custom script or a plugin added to the site which is in conflict. To find which plugin is causing the conflict please follow these steps:
1. Go to your plugins page > Deactivate all active Plugins
2. Update WordPress and Enfold to the latest version if you have not.
3. Make sure all the plugins are updated.
4. If the problem does not persist when plugins are turned off, activate one plugin at a time and refresh until you find the plugin in conflict.
Also, check the overview page below on IE and the video should load fine for you :)
We await the results of your plugin compatibility test.
Thanks for your cooperation :)
Best regards,
Vinay
Hello, We are still having issues with the video autoplay, in the home page color section, while in IE 11.
Do you have any other suggestions? The plugins don’t seem to matter.
Thank you
Actually, I think we have solved this: my notes below:
I recently discovered for https://oceanfrontvac.com that for the background video to autoplay correctly in Internet Explorer 11
the https in the Youtube link needs to be HTTP with no s (for security).
ALSO which is bizarre, the height cannot be in percentage because the script that determines the height of the browser interferes with the video in IE autoplaying.
Hi,
I’m glad this was resolved. If you need additional help, please let us know here in the forums.
Best regards,
Jordan Shannon
