    Good Morning,

I am having an issue with a self hosted mp4 background video in a color section for my home page.

On initial Load it will not display as full width and will show with black bars on left and right hand side.

However if I resize the browser window it will then stretch to be full width as expected, and stay this way for further reloads.

Sometimes it will display correctly if I simply reload the page (without resizing) however most times it stay the same.

This only seems to happen on initial load (eg. have flushed cache )

    Do you have any suggestions?

    Warm regards

    Paul

    Hi pbennion!

Have you already figured it out? It did load fullwidth on my end on initial load. If you have not, which browser and OS are you using?

    Best regards,

    Good Afternoon,

Thanks for the response, great to hear that it worked for you but unfortunately it is still playing up on my end.

1 – Regardless of the browser I use, i still get black bars on left and right hand side of video until I resize the browser.
    – latest mozilla sometimes will work correctly on fresh load.
    – Internet explorer 12 always shows black bars on left and right until resize.
    – Chrome 37.0.2062.124 is also hit and miss.
have not tested safari as don’t have a mac and videos are disables on ipads and mobiles.

I have also changed to another video and still get the same results.

This is regardless of the screen resolution I used on my laptop.

If however I use a vimeo video there is no issue, however then I cannot use a custom js script to mute and unmute the video.

    Warm regards

    Paul

    Hi!

the video works fine for me, although it pauses a lot (maybe internet connection to your country is not fast enough or the server you are using is not the best).
Did you try this one: http://formstone.it/components/wallpaper ?

    Regards,
    Andy
