As suggested by Dude (https://kriesi.at/support/topic/how-to-translate-enfold-site-with-wpml-correctly/#post-162796) I installed Codestyling Localization but I got several errors:

September 26, 2013 at 1:45 am #166326Hello!
Looks like a plugin conflict. Please deactivate all plugins except for WPML and Codestyling.
Cheers!
IsmaelSeptember 26, 2013 at 9:00 am #166498I did what you suggested: deactivated all plugins but wpml and Codestyling, This is what I got:

Looks like there’s something wrong with the Theme itself.
September 26, 2013 at 10:31 am #166529Hello!
1) The theme does not define “WP_MEMORY_LIMIT” constant. Not sure what causes the error in your case but you can search the theme files for “WP_MEMORY_LIMIT” and you won’t find an occurence of the text string. Thus not a theme problem…
2) Not sure what “Below listed scripts has been automatically stripped because of injection:” means but our scripts don’t inject any malware code. False alarm/detection. Actually the script even tries to block the official google maps script (see last error):
Below listed external scripts have been traced, verified and automatically stripped because of injection: [avia-google-maps-api] – http://maps.google.com/maps/api/js?sensor=false
which is – please excuse for the harsh word – bullshit because then every theme/plugin which relies on the official google maps api “injects” something (like our script (avia_google_maps_widget.js).
There’s nothing we can do about these errors – they’re simple false alarms and won’t affect you or your website visitors in any way.
Regarding the textdomain issue – you just need to translate the avia_textdomain. The other domains are part of the layerSlider plugin and the wordpress core files and you can simply ignore them. You can translate the po/mo files even if Codestyling outputs errors…
Cheers!
PeterSeptember 26, 2013 at 11:29 am #166553The problem is I can’t follow your instructions as you suggested here (https://kriesi.at/support/topic/how-to-translate-enfold-site-with-wpml-correctly/#post-162796) cos when I try to rescan I got an Access Error message (nothing else).
I dont’ care about those errors, just mentioned them to resolve the main issue which is I cannot use the plugin.September 29, 2013 at 11:54 am #167793Hi!
This is probably an issue with the folder reading/writing permissions on your server. Use a ftp client (i.e. Filezilla) to connect to your server and navigate to wp-content/themes/enfold/lang/. Set the folder permission to 777 and check if you can translate the file afterwards. If not I’d suggest to install Codestyling on your localhost and to translate the theme on your PC/Mac and the upload the generated files into the wp-content/themes/enfold/lang/ folder.
Best regards,
PeterSeptember 29, 2013 at 12:19 pm #167795Done, but when I try to rescan, I got the same access error message and when I try to edit a language, I got this:
Error: The actual loaded translation content does not match the textdomain: avia_framework
Expect, that any text you translate will not occure as long as the textdomain is mismatching!

The affected unknown textdomains are:Clicking Compatibility, I got this:
Loading Issue: Author is using load_textdomain instead of load_plugin_textdomain function. This may break behavior of WordPress, because some filters and actions won’t be executed anymore. Please contact the Author about that.

October 1, 2013 at 9:21 am #168631Hey!
Yes, but these messages shouldn’t prevent you from selecting the “avia_framework” textdomain from the dropdown. You can just ignore the warnings and translate all text strings from the avia_framework textdomain. However if it still doesn’t work please download the po file I generated with Codestyling here: http://www.xup.in/dl,93390246/it_IT.po/ , upload it into the enfold/lang folder, then go to the Codestyling admin page and click on the “Edit” button. You don’t need to scan the files because I generated the it_IT.po with the latest version of Enfold (2.3).

October 3, 2013 at 2:52 pm #169956Hello!
Yes, you can just overwrite it.
