Is the new behavior of the Code Block element due to WordPress 5.5.1 or the new Enfold 4.7.6.4?
Anyway – in the past I was able to insert an inline svg using the Code Block element. ( or insert any shortcode i want – any html )
Inserting a complex svg into the code-block element is possible – but after that, further editing of the layout is not possible anymore. Spinning Wheel of death – just keep spinning without presenting the layout on top and have the chance to edit other ALB Elements.
– The code insertion is successful, but editing the page again is no longer possible due to a missing layout scheme.October 11, 2020 at 10:17 am #1252025Hey Günter,
I’m not sure why that would have stopped working, but I’ll tag this topic for the other Günter to see if he’s got any insight.
Could you share example code which you are having problem so that we can check it out on our end please?
Best regards,

October 15, 2020 at 10:13 am #1252966Hi,
Sorry for the late reply.
I checked your page – I can open the codeblock and I added an empty
<div></div>
and could save it.
And frontend seems to work also. And I also cannot reproduce any problems on my dev server.
Did you change anything?
Best regards,
GünterOctober 15, 2020 at 6:02 pm #1253074yes Günter – but that is a very simple insertion.
But before, even komplex svg could be inserted without trouble. They were not shown on layout preview but layout itself could be seen and could be edited after insertion.See home4 on that !
you can see that the layout isn’t shown on top – so no Editing of the layout could be done – allthough the shortcode is correct.
The Frontend of that page works!:
And Enfold Shortcode-Verarbeiter : “Keine Fehler wurden bei der Analyse der Shortcodes erkannt.”October 16, 2020 at 8:56 am #1253194Hi,
Thanks for home4.
It seems to be a problem with your install. If I copy the shortcode of this page to my server (no plugins except WooCommerce) I can save it and edit it.
Please try to deactivate all plugins and check.Best regards,
GünterOctober 16, 2020 at 10:37 am #1253222There was a hint that ended up in a solution for me:
https://kriesi.at/support/topic/special-characters-within-code-blocks-on-3rd-party-forms/#post-1253220This is the disadvantage of placing installations in subfolders and not thinking that security plugins can of course affect them.
Can be closed – it is solved
