Hi there,
Im doing my portfolio and I often see sites with a client grid with logo’s that are links to other pages. Ideally it would be good to get an image to react on rollover and go from a greyscale image to full color or a duotone (say orange)
Before I purchased the theme it was suggested that this would be relatively easy but im not sure where/how the best way to go about this.
Can you suggest how to go about this and ensure everything is kept responsive
I would like a 2 row grid of 5/6 colums of grey scale logo’s that would turn orange on rollover and have links to other pages on the site
Cheers
Andy

Cheers
May 16, 2013 at 6:23 am #119358Hi,
1) I’m sorry but imo it’s not easily possible to add the greyscale effect to the portfolio thumbnails (at least not if you’re using Enfold). I also gave a honest answer to another user. https://kriesi.at/support/topic/greyscale-overlay-and-shop-as-a-co-workers-page
Can you point me to the post which suggest that “this would be relatively easy”?
2) 5/6 is not supported for the portfolio grid at the moment. You can select a 2,3 or 4 columns layout. You can try a workaround though – create 2 columns and add a 3 columns portfolio element to each column – it will look like:
May 16, 2013 at 1:10 pm #119359Hi there,
thanks for the idea but im not sure its going to look that great – well, not without a huge investment of time and me asking dumn questions on the forum. I might give it a go if I get a moment or eight!! but im starting to think that a simple mono graphic impersonating a grid will be better for now. Damn shame as its nearly always a must for people creating a portfolio of work. Perhaps there are plugins out there. Ill take a look
Thanks anyway
May 16, 2013 at 1:49 pm #119360Hi there,
I found a way by creating a 6×2 image grid and then importing my own mono logo for each one. I assume I can make each box link to either a URL or my own portfolio page. Not as funky as having it switch colours but for now it works a treat. There’s a nice rollover effect and a thin wire frame surrounding everything too. A work-a-round I do believe!!!
Cheers as always

I’m glad you were able to find a workaround that will do the trick :)
