Classic Editor plugin stops working after updating from 5.4.1 to 5.5. No single page is editable till Classic Editor is deactivated, just looping and running into crash by chrome. The same problem seems to have place with “Disable Gutenberg” plugin.
Hi maximusinvestment,
There’s no need to use plugin anymore if you want to use the classic editor.
Go to Enfold > Theme Options > Select Your Editor set it to Use WP Classic Editor.
Hope it helps.
Best regards,
Nikko
Hi, thank you for the note with the option. Still got the same problem – trying to edit a page after switch from block to the classic editor via options and the whole site is freezing with a message shown by chrome after couple of seconds: RESULT_CODE_HUNG
Guess, it’s a problem which is on chrome only, firefox works well. Do you still use the Layout Architekt if the classic editor is activated?
Hi,
Thanks for the update. There’s not much point in using that plugin as Nikko pointed out, as the functionality is built into the theme already. The Enfold Layout Builder will still be available, which ever option you select. The only different is the editor used when you want to use the built in WordPress editor.
Best regards,
Rikard
